Seminar 2026/27 – Cities in Motion: Communities, Culture, and Urban Resilience
2026/27年度セミナーでは、持続可能でレジリエントな都市環境の育成におけるコミュニティの中心的な役割を探求します。学生は、都市部における文化、遺産、そして社会ネットワークの相互作用を批判的に考察し、ヒューマンスケールの視点から社会経済的課題と気候変動に取り組みます。ケーススタディを通して、保全、近代化、そして住民の幸福のバランスをとる上での機会と緊張関係を探り、都市政策と都市設計への影響を分析します。名古屋、福岡、福島へのフィールドトリップが予定されています。
The 2026/27 Seminar investigates the central role of communities in fostering sustainable and resilient urban environments. Students will critically examine the interplay of culture, heritage, and social networks in urban areas, addressing socio-economic challenges and climate change from a human-scale perspective. Through case studies, the seminar explores opportunities and tensions in balancing preservation, modernization, and residents’ well-being, while analyzing the implications for urban policy and design. Field trips are planned to Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Fukushima.
